Event Marketing Manager

Reports To: Chief Communications Officer 
Position Status: Full-Time  
FLSA Status: Exempt
Compensation: Starting at $105,000/year
Location: Portland, Maine headquarters or hybrid

We are seeking an Event Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of the company’s international event marketing program. This is an exciting role for a marketer who enjoys working across departments to evaluate, plan, and execute in-person and virtual events to engage with technology leaders. 

You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations and HighByte partners to articulate the company’s event strategy and manage end-to-end logistics, budget, vendor relationships, promotions, and post-event communication. This role is responsible for driving and measuring pipeline growth, brand awareness, and customer engagement through industry trade shows, hosted events, partner-led programs, and digital experiences. 

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a marketer who can translate business objectives into high-impact event experiences that generate qualified pipeline, increase brand awareness, strengthen customer relationships, and position HighByte as a leader in industrial data infrastructure. 


Essential Functions 

  • Own the global event strategy, including budget allocation, event selection, sponsorship strategy, and audience targeting
  • Develop event themes, messaging, and engagement strategies aligned with company positioning and product marketing initiatives
  • Partner with sales leadership to define event pipeline targets and account engagement goals
  • Work with sales to target strategic accounts and design event programs that deepen engagement with key prospects and customers
  • Manage end-to-end planning and execution of the company’s presence across industry events, including trade shows, conferences, partner events, and virtual webcasts (third-party and hosted)
  • Manage all aspects of event coordination, including venue selection, vendor negotiations, speaker coordination, and on-site logistics
  • Lead the annual HighByte-hosted regional event series designed to engage customers, partners, and prospects through thought leadership and networking
  • Work cross-departmentally to develop integrated event campaigns, including email invitations and reminders, landing pages, social promotions, sales templates, meeting programs, and follow-up communications and activities
  • Establish, track, and optimize event budgets to maximize ROI
  • Analyze event ROI, including pipeline generated, meetings booked, influenced revenue, and attendee engagement metrics through the company’s CRM in collaboration with Marketing Operations

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into improved event performance
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and operations teams
  • Experience leveraging professional social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn 
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot Salesforce, Marketo)
  • Experience with virtual event management platforms and registration tools (e.g., BigMarker, ON24)
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree 
  • 3+ years of experience in event or field marketing
  • Experience in planning and executing trade shows, conferences, or industry events
  • Experience in enterprise software and/or industrial technology is preferred
  • Willing to travel as necessary
