Our founding team has more than 70 years of combined experience delivering software to the industrial automation market. Co-founders Tony Paine, John Harrington, and Torey Penrod-Cambra have worked together since 2012, previously in key leadership roles at Kepware, an industrial software company that was acquired by PTC in 2016.

We offer flexible work options for all employees. You may work remotely or from the Portland, Maine office—or you can choose a hybrid option. We will provide the resources you need to be productive, communicate effectively, and support our customers and partners while working from any location. You can also adjust your hours as needed for appointments, family commitments, or other priorities because we know life doesn't run on a 9-to-5 schedule. Additionally, we offer “Focus Fridays,” a program designed to eliminate or limit meetings on Fridays, giving you time to focus, prioritize, and recharge.

We conduct a compensation analyses twice a year to ensure every employee is paid equitably based on their experience, performance, and market. We invest in the communities where we work. HighByte sponsors and supports the Girls Who Code summer camp in Maine every year, our employees volunteer with Junior Achievement of Maine, and we run an annual food drive with a company donation match.
